Labrada Shake Review

Labrada Meal Replacement Shake Review Rating

I had never heard of before. But after some friends told me about them, I thought it was only fair to check them out. Here’s what I found.

PRICE: B+

Losing weight shouldn’t cost a fortune. So whenever I find a meal replacement shake for less than 40 bucks, I’m happy. Labrada fits the bill at $35 for 16 servings. That comes out to two dollars and change for each shake, which is a pretty reasonable price.

TASTE: A

Labrada Lean shakes come in four distinct flavors: Chocolate Ice Cream, Vanilla Ice Cream, Strawberry Ice Cream, and Chocolate Peanut Butter. Because I’m not one to take risks, I went for the vanilla ice cream flavor.  Believe it or not, but it actually tasted like ice cream. It was delicious. And any meal that tastes like desert gets an easy A in my book.

APPETITE BLOCKER: A+

I was stunned when I learned that there are 35 grams of protein in a single Labrada shake. I’m a protein fiend, so that’s a pretty big win for me. The 7 grams of fiber were nice too. So if you’re looking for a shake that will help curb your appetite, this is a solid option. It’ll keep you full for hours, and you won’t even think about reaching for a snack in between meals.

NUTRITIONAL VALUE: C-

Labrada has a lot of great qualities. Especially all of its protein goodness. But when it comes to its nutritional value, it’s not that great. One serving of Labrada Lean comes in at a whopping 290 calories. 60 of which comes from fat. That to me is a huge negative. It’s too bad that delicious ice cream flavor had to come with such a calorie-heavy price.

I’m so torn over Labrada Lean Body shakes. On one hand, they’re affordable and taste like ice cream. But on the other hand, they just have too many calories to recommend. So Labrada may or may not be for you depending on your goals.  If you’re looking to lose weight, this isn’t the shake for you. But if you’re trying to gain muscle, this shake could help you get there.

1 serving is 2 scoops – why not just use 1 scoop? When using just 1 scoop it solves your biggest complaint and makes the price even better.
